Message by President, Seafood Industries Association Singapore (SIAS)

On behalf of the Seafood Industries Association Singapore (SIAS), 1 am pleased to share with you the strides
we have made in advancing Singapore's seafood industry over the past year. Our collective efforts have continued to push boundaries, foster innovation, and promote sustainability.

With a membership of nearly 100 businesses, SIAS plays a pivotal role in promoting innovation, sustainability, and international collaboration, helping our members thrive in an increasingly competitive global seafood market. Our mission is to support our members by providing valuable networking opportunities, resources, and a platform to stay ahead of industry trends.

Over the past year, SIAS has been actively engaged in numerous initiatives that reflect our commitment to supporting the growth and competitiveness of the industry. Through business mission trips to key international markets such as Vietnam, Australia, and Taiwan, we've facilitated vital connections between local seafood stakeholders and global industry players. These efforts have further strengthened Singapore's role as a strategic hub for seafood trade and opened new opportunities for our members.

Sustainability has remained a key focus for SIAS, and we continue to champion responsible seafood farming practices. Our advocacy for sustainable aquaculture and marine stewardship is crucial to ensuring the long-term health of our oceans and the future viability of the seafood industry.

By promoting these practices, we are contributing to an industry that is both resilient and ethical.
We've also been driving innovation through collaborations with key agencies such as Enterprise Singapore (ESG), Workforce SG (WSG), and NTUC U SME. These partnerships have enabled our members to access essential resources for digitalization, automation, and process optimization, ensuring that they remain competitive in a rapidly evolving market.
Additionally, SIAS's participation in global seafood exhibitions, including Seafood Expo Asia and Seafood Expo North America, has provided our members with invaluable exposure, networking opportunities, and access to new markets.

Looking ahead, SIAS remains committed to its mission of fostering innovation, sustainability, and collaboration, with the goal of coptinuing to elevate Singapore's seafood industry both locally and globally.
